WHY RUN

Benefits of running .
Here ill try breakdown my own beliefs of why running has so many benefits.
1.Improved health
2.Socialising and Meeting new people.
3. Improves self belief
4. Its free anybody can put a pair of trainers on and go out the door and run.

5.Running has the power to relieve stress and help combat depression.

SHOULD I JOIN A RUNNING CLUB

You do not have to be a member of a running club to run, there are many benefits to joining a club and in South wales there are lots of very supportive clubs around from social clubs to fully affiliated running clubs.
Being a member has many benefits training with others, running with groups of people for own personal safety. Having the knowledge of club coaches and run leaders and training designed to help you improve.
I was running for over ten years before I had the confidence to Join a club and then I took a lot of persuading. People get put of because they feel its elitist at clubs but this is totally untrue all clubs will have runners of all abilities.
I am now a run leader with My local Club Pontyclun Road Runners and always there to help all people

BIGGEST RUNNING ACHIEVEMENT

I often get asked what i feel is My biggest achievement.
I have been fortunate over last year or so to Win the Vale Ultra Marathon and come third in the Great welsh marathon.
But My biggest and best achievement for me was the first time I went sub Three hours for a marathon In Llanelli 2016 Id done over 14 marathons and when started I was a 3.58 marathon runner so to finally break sub three for the first time will stay with me for a very long time.
Also one of my biggest achievements has been to help some very good friends train and complete they're first marathons, this give's me as much happiness as it does completing my own goals.
